Holland Charter School Also Adds Kindergarten to Fall Curriculum

The schools capital campaign brought in more pledges than necessary to proceed with $3 million construction of the freestanding addition. The board authorized a $900,000 renovation of a warehouse and office building on the 12-acre site to house the new kindergarten.

Research has shown that people are most productive when they are comfortable at their workplace. This includes students and teachers. The three biggest factors that contribute to building comfort are light (and the quality of it), indoor air quality (including temperature control and comfort) and, for schools, acoustics. Together, they provide not just a healthy environment for our children but a more cost effective approach to building while helping to protect natural resources.
