Central Park Reformed Church Starts With Lakewood
Phase 1 of a multiphase construction project has begun at Central Park Reformed Church in Holland, Michigan. A special groundbreaking commemoration service occurred on Easter Sunday, April 15, 2001, with Pastor Larry Schuyler leading the congregation. Actual construction began on site the last week of May, after final details were worked out.
Construction Manager Lakewood Inc. is providing full service design / build construction services to complete this phase of the project by Christmas of 2001. The 7,700 square foot addition delivers a new narthex, library / media center, rest rooms, and nursery facilities while tying the multilevel facility together for handicapped accessibility. Phase 2 of the project will include a new multipurpose room and kitchen facilities.
The Central Park Reformed congregation has a rich history of ministering to the community of Holland in the Central Park neighborhood located on Holland's south side. This project will enable them to expand their existing programs and look to new ministry opportunities.
