Lakewood Breaks Ground On Emmanuel Lutheran Church
Lakewood Inc. is pleased to announce the commencement of a construction project for another Michigan church congregation. Ground was broken on a new site for an expanded ministry center just east of Cadillac along the M-55 corridor for Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
The facility will be located on a 16 acre site, and will include 11,950 square feet of conventional construction. The interior will feature glue lam beams in the 4,200 square foot sanctuary, with the exterior to compliment the residential neighborhood. The facility will be designed to accommodate expansion to 31,000 square feet, with the addition of a new sanctuary as well as more classroom and office space.
The congregation has been ministering to the greater Cadillac community for the past 117 years (since 1884), and will now be able to meet the needs of membership, as well as expand their ministry to the community.
Lakewood's northern office in Bear Lake, Michigan coordinated the bid for the project. DesignWorks AE from Grand Rapids, is the architect of record.
