Lakewood, Inc Announces Commencement of Another Project for Holland Public Schools
Lakewood Inc. is pleased to announce the commencement of another project for Holland Public Schools. The project consists of additions and renovations to the gymnasium for the high school facility.
A 9,000 square foot addition at the southwest corner of the site will include a new practice gymnasium as well as a mechanical and storage mezzanine. The architecture of the addition will match the architecture of the existing facility. The practice gym will begin construction in mid-November and be complete in May of 2005.
After the new gym is complete, renovations to the “Dutch Dome” will begin. The existing wood floor and slab underneath will be removed and replaced and new bleacher seating for approximately 1750 people will be installed. This part of the project will commence in May of 2005 and be completed in time for the start of school in August of 2005.
Architectural services for the project are being provided by GMB Architects-Engineers while Construction Management services are being provided by Lakewood Inc.
