Lakewood, Inc. Announces Completion of Two Signature Projects
The project management team from Lakewood Inc. is pleased to announce the completion of two signature projects for the firm.
Zeeland Public Schools new athletic stadium was completed in time for their first home game in September. Part of a $29.5 million bond issue passed by the community in 2004, the stadium project began in April of 2004 and was completed in 86 working days, to the disbelief of many professionals involved in the project. The existing stadium had the track and football field removed and replaced with a new 8 lane latex track and synthetic turf football field. Concession stands and toilet facilities were added and renovated, bleachers and lighting were added or refurbished, and decorative black vinyl fencing was installed as well.
The refurbished stadium, serving as home field for both Zeeland East & Zeeland West High Schools, has been a hit with the administration of the school as well as the community at large.
The second milestone completion occurred with the Martha Miller Center for Global Communication at Hope College. The new $12 million facility is being raved about by students, faculty and the community.
Officials from Hope College are ecstatic about the state-of-the-art facility, claiming the integration of multiple departments reflect on the colleges commitment to diversity, enabling them to prepare future college graduates to understand, appreciate, and contribute to the interconnected world in which they live.
