Bob McFarlane earns LEEDs Accreditation
Lakewood Inc. is pleased to announce that Senior Project Manager, Bob McFarlane has successfully completed the requirements of becoming an Accredited Professional with the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) for the Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design program. The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System® is a voluntary, consensus-based national standard for developing high-performance, sustainable buildings.
Bob has been employed with Lakewood, Inc. since January of 1994 as Project Manager. Bob has managed projects for several school districts throughout West Michigan, including several high performance and environmentally friendly projects at Zeeland Public Schools. Other experience includes The Plaza Center in downtown Holland, and the Shoreline Womens Center at South Haven Community Hospital.
With his new designation, Bob will be able to provide clients with an improved sense of environmental preservation and sustainable construction practices, while providing expanded construction management services to new clients on a local and regional level. As a LEED Accredited Professional Bob will contribute as a leader in supporting a better built environment.
