Lakewood Construction to Host Second Annual ‘Building Your Place of Worship’ Seminar
Free Workshop Focuses on Master Planning, Fundraising, Design/Build and Technology
Lakewood Construction is pleased to announce it will once again host Building Your Place of Worship – a free evening workshop for church members interested in the many aspects and avenues available when building, expanding or renovating worship facilities. Based on last year’s success, the seminar has been expanded to two dates and locations: Thursday, September 28, 7:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran in Reed City, Michigan and Tuesday, October 3, 7:00 pm at Community Reformed Church in Zeeland, Michigan.
This informative seminar will feature guest speakers from various organizations, covering key topics in facility planning and construction, including master planning, fundraising, financing, building, worship service technology, and design/build options. Attendees will also be given facility tours of recently completed facility projects.
“There are many different facets to planning and building your place or worship that are fairly universal,” said Scott Nykerk, Lakewood Construction Vice President. “Our goal in this workshop is to present a high level overview so that building committee members can take away a better understanding of the entire process, and therefore be more productive in their project.
