Lakewood Construction Breaks Ground on Plaza Center East

Officials from Lakewood Construction are pleased to announce the groundbreaking of a signature project in downtown Holland. Plaza East, a 45,000 square foot four-story office / retail facility will be constructed on 8th Street, next to the existing Plaza Center.

The LEED Certified sustainable building will feature handsome masonry details and accents, with extensive day lighting through out. The foundation of the building will be on vibro-compacted sand, and will utilize an energy efficient hydronic heat pump system with state of the art controls.

The interior common areas will feature ornate woodwork, tile and metalwork, while the interior spaces will be built-out to tenant specifications. Many of the individual tenant spaces feature exterior balconies for interaction with the street and landscaped plaza to the east.

Grubb Ellis – Focus Properties is marketing the property that was designed by GMB Architects / Engineers and is being constructed by Lakewood Construction.
